About
Open all year round, come and visit us in this beautiful corner of the Isle of Skye.
Enjoy long days exploring the breath taking scenery of Skye in the Spring and Summer and experience our fantastic dark skies in the Winter where we have regularly been treated to the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights).
Oystercatcher Pod
Situated above Fiscavaig Bay, the Oystercatcher Pod sleeps 2 with a comfy double bed. There is room to sleep 1 more on a sofa-bed in the lounge area. The Oystercatcher features underfloor heating, WiFi, smart TV, Alexa device, fully equipped kitchenette, lounge area with corner sofa bed, dining area, double bed, shower room, outdoor seating and it is fully enclosed. We also welcome well behaved dogs. We are set in a rural area where you will have peace and quiet. There are plenty opportunities for spotting wildlife with Buzzards, Eagles and even the odd Sea Eagle flying overhead. Look out towards the sea and you may spot the odd passing pod of porpoises or dolphins in the summer. We have lots of walks on the doorstep and there are great wee fishing spots nearby. There is parking for one car. We are a 50 minute drive from the bridge and a 35 minute drive from the island's capital, Portree. The Talisker Distillery and Fairy Pools are nearby.
Minginish, Skye
Minginish is situated on the West Coast of Skye and contains many of the islands most spectacular scenery and experiences.
The Black Cuillin are a mountaineer's dream. The Fairy Pools, Talisker Bay and Glenbrittle are all here as well as destinations such as Talisker Distillery.
If it's coffee or something to eat you fancy we have the best little coffee shop in Carbost, Coara Dubh as well as The Old Inn pub for meals, drinks and live traditional music.
A real treat is a visit to Cafe Cuil where the food and drink are next level and you can also order takeaway.
